Had Sharp Muscle Spasm Several Days Ago In Right Hand

Had sharp muscle spasm several days ago in right hand and forearm, lasted about 1 min. Driving home yesterday suddenly severe pain in right forearm for several hours & again today, now also upper arm & hand to little finger. Not carpal tunnel, surgery years ago. What are possible causes? Home treatments?
