Have A Severe Cold With Symptoms Of Sore Throat, Ears

Have a severe cold with symptoms of sore throat, ears and eyes and also coughing moucus continually. I hav e had this cold for seven days without abating. I have not consulted a medical opinion as yet because I was hoping it will pass in few days. I am 74 years old and quite healthy, with type 2 diabetes and is contolled with medication and diet.
