Have An Abrupt Pain In Lower Calf That Started This

Have an abrupt pain in lower calf that started this AM, and already took 2 aspirin within the last 6 hrs. Never had phlebitis, and pretty active (swim x 3/wk, and work around the house.) My older brother had trouble w phlebitis, and just want to know if cold or hot
