Have An Issue On My Ring Finger. Returned From Florida

Have an issue on my ring finger. Returned from Florida two weeks ago, developed an irritation under my wedding ring, which has happened before. Usually the lesion goes away after I remove the ring and use OTC hydrocortizone cream, but this time it is spreading to my web between the 4th and 3rd finger, and now am getting splits in the web which are becoming most painful. And it is now starting to spread up the side of the third digit.
I have had issues this past year with what the dermatologist described as "gram negative toe web infection" ...obviously affecting my foot...and wonder if I have passed this on to my finger? Your counsel would be appreciated.
