Have Been Experiencing Hoarseness For Several Years, Originally Caused By

Have been experiencing hoarseness for several years, originally caused by puffers for COPD. Problem has gotten worse last 6 months and constantly clearing throat - feels like mucus in back of throat, but nothing is expelled. ENT specialist has prescribed Nexium for reflux but somehow that doesn't seem to me to be the problem.
