Have Been Told I Have A Dark Area On One

Have been told I have a dark area on one lung and I am being scheduled for a c scan. Needlessly to say I am anxious and stressed to the max. Have a heart condition and had several bouts of pneumonia in the past several years. Can you explain possibilities of what this could be.
