Having Bad Pain In My Throat When Swallowing, Eating, Drinking,

Having bad pain in my throat when swallowing, eating, drinking, yawning, sneezing. Can't drink water or tea without pain. Only thing that can temporarily soothe pain is lozenges. No other symptoms. What is wrong with me and how do I make the pain go away?? My PCP said to take anti-inflammatory but that hasn't given much relief either.
