Having Sharp Leg Pain That Starts At My Right Hip

Having sharp leg pain that starts at my right hip and radiates down my leg, sometimes causing knee weakness. It feels as if my knee is going to give out sometimes. I experienced an episode last weekend of not being able to bear weight on my right due to very sharp pain and weakness when I went to stand up. After Naproxen and rest I was able to hobble around that day. Now the discomfort is centered around my hip and knee. I do carry my 30lb grandson on my right hip when he visits. I also carry a knapsack that is very heavy d/t computer and patient charts. I suspect it is sciatica. I have no lower back pain though.
