Hello - Two Years Ago I Had Colon Resection Surgery

Hello - Two years ago I had colon resection surgery because of diverticulitis. Recently I made the mistake of having Myofascia Release massage in which the therapist did some massage in my abdominal area. Afterwards I was weak and shaking and later had pain in areas of my abdomen. In the past I had what I felt were spasms in my colon and was told I had irritable bowel syndrome. Both after the massage and in the past after colon spasms I had the same symptoms which last one to two weeks. The symptoms are weakness/fatigue and my skin would become softer on my face and inside my mouth. The fatigue is my main concern because it is hard functioning with fatigue. The softening of the skin and mouth(likely throughout my entire digestive system from mouth to anus) seems to increase pain sensitivity. Can you explain why these symptoms occur and why they always seem to last one to two weeks. Thank you.
