Hello- I Have Intermittent Sharp Pain/itch In My Ankles. It

Hello- I have intermittent sharp pain/itch in my ankles. It feels like I am being bitten by bugs or bees. It lasts only for a few moments.
I have osteoarthritis in my knees but exercise regularly without much discomfort. Is this a symptom of possibly varicose veins? My legs feel heavy & tired on occasion.
