About 2 months ago my boyfriend told me that he contracted gonnorhea from a girl and that I should go get tested. Coincidentally that day I had already gone to get tested before he had broke the news to me. To give you a timeline of events. My boyfriend and I had sex for the first time in months 6 days prior to me getting tested for gonnorhea. That night out of fear of having the disease I went to the ER where they gave me the antibiotics to counteract the std (pills and a shot in my hip) my test came back negative a couple days later of being positive for any std's. I was wondering if the test was done too soon to pick up the STD and if I had in fact had gonnorhea if the antibiotics I took, counteracted the STD before it had even entered my system (I hope that made sense) I only ask because I have been having irregular spotting in between periods. It should be noted that I just got the paraguard implant in October so I'm not sure if it is normal for this to happen to me. I would appreciate any input i could get.
