Hello, Colonoscopy As A Procedure Is Intended To Investigate Condition

Hello,
Colonoscopy as a procedure is intended to investigate condition of a person's colon. But let me ask you a question, please? Does the doctor see the condition of rectum as well? What I mean is that when a physician inserts a tube into rectum, he wouldn't be able to see rectum's condition from the beginning immediately after anus entrance. Thank you.
