Hello Doctor - I Am Wondering If It Is Possible

Hello Doctor - I am wondering if it is possible that I could be pregnant. I had my copper IUD removed after about 2.5 years of it being in place. I am tracking my basal body temperature, so I know that I ovulated 1 day before the removal. I had unprotected sex two days before and the night before the removal. I assumed that because the IUD is still in place when I ovulated, that there is no risk, but recently saw an article that said otherwise. I expect my period in the next few days. Thank you.
