Hello Doctor,
I am from India. In the recent past I had liver function test done but all numbers except Alanine Aminotransferase (SGPT) was recorded fine. SGPT was 77 which according to my doctor (Gastro) is slightly on the higher side. He prescribed me TAb: HEPTRAL 400MG for 6 weeks(0-0-1) before sleep. Heptral being very expensive, I consulted another physician who prescribed me ADESAM 400 which according to him contains same composition. This drug is very competitively priced. This drug is from Sun Pharma. Can I have this medicine in stead of Heptral 400? Since I am an average income person, I would prefer lesser priced drug unless it is absolutely necessary. Your earnest advise solicited.
