Hello Doctor,
I have been using Mupirocin for a periodic anal skin irritation (infection) that doesn't seem to respond to most triple antibiotic ointment. I assumed it might be a fungal infection. I am taking Omiprizol every other day for acid reduction. I figure this might be creating a low acid condition in my gut that would be conducive to yeast or other infective organisms. The Mupirocin helps with what ever the organism is there. Your thoughts?
