Hello Doctor. I Woke Up Last Thursday With A Cough

Hello Doctor. I woke up last Thursday with a cough and headache. I still have a terrible cough, and what bothers me is the wheezing from my lungs when I breathe. I seem to be able to get the stuff out of the lungs with coughing. I am taking a cough medicine. I was at home this weekend, and my mom said it sounded like I had pneumonia. Honestly, I am starting to feel better. How long should I wait before I should be concerned enough to see my doctor?
