Hello Doctor, My Wife Was Diagnosed With An Ulcer Behind
Hello Doctor,
My wife was diagnosed with an ulcer behind her left vocal cord. She lost most of her voice and was not speaking in a normal tone.After treating her for almost a month and half with gastric or acidity tablets, the doctor decided to go for Biopsy as the ulcer did not reduce in size with no improvement in patient's condition. After surgery, my wife was absolutely fine and back to normal work routine. However, after testing the sample for Koch's via micro-culture and histology, she was diagnosed with TB. Can you suffer from TB coz of an ulcer in the throat. We stay in Mumbai. goregaon.Now the DST(susceptibility test) results are back and all the first line of drugs are susceptible as per the report. The doctor put her on Rcinex and pyridoxine for one month after surgery. Now we have been told to start with AKT 4 for 2 mnths. What do you suggest? Is her diagnosis and prescribed treament is going the right way? Please advice.
