Hello Doctor My Father Is 72 Years Old Diabetic Bitten

Hello Doctor my father is 72 years old diabetic bitten by a street dog in a village where he had gone with my mother for a relative marriage . please advice what needs to be done . he immediately rushed to a nearby government hospital and got first AID.
Am really scared considering his age and diabetic .
