Hello Doctor, my mother is going through tooth extraction and planning for dentures. She is high blood pressure patient with marginal sugar.
She got her upper right side tooth extraction which was a bridge and having original 3-4 teeth, which got in bad shape due to calcium deficiency with time.
After 12 hours of extraction, she started feeling uncontrollable shivering and cold but no fever. I had a word with my family doctor, he suggested not to panic and wait for sometime. Then after 2 hours she started vomitting, and after 2-3 vomits she felt good. And now fever she had fever 102.4 and we gave her paracetamol 500mg.
Followed by antacid nexpro rd 40, all under a doctor’s supervision.
After half an hr, she started feeling hot, fever was normal. She kept on feeling thirsty, and hot so she has taken 2-3 glass of water( one with glucon-D As well) Being restless she has fallen asleep, can you please suggest me what should we do. And is it normal to get such chills? Is this risky? And why this happens..?
Dentist has given- Cefixime200mg—— bd
And zytis-ds——bd for 3 days.
She is also feeling weakness before and after treatment which we missed to specify to the doctor and also she not taken multivitamins for 2-3 days.
