Hello Doctors, 10 Days Ago I Had A Snowboarding Accident

Hello Doctors,

10 days ago I had a snowboarding accident during a competition. Instead of "rolling with the fall" I outstretched my arms to try and stop myself. I hurt my left hand, thinking I only bruised the bone. I have been unable to put much pressure on it at all. It hurts most on my left hand, on the posterior side of the Capitate, hamate, and lunate bones. Almost in the middle of all 3 of them. The area also feels harder compared to the same side in my right hand; a fresh piece of bread v. a toasted one. This past Tuesday (9 days since accident) I received an x-ray, with no signs of breaks or fractures. I am wearing a brace and will be for the next two weeks. Is it possible I have torn a ligament, or perhaps just tweaked it a weird way? Thank you very much.

Alexander (24 yrs old with no history of sprains or broken/fractured bones in this hand.)
