Hello Dr. Andrew Rynne,
I have actually gone to my regular doctor and have confirmed that i have an ear infection, specifically otitis externa. I have been prescribed the antibiotic amoxicillin. Have taken it for almost two days, however the pain in my left ear has increased and i now have a constant pulsating sensation in my ear, my lymph nodes are swollen, and can barely hears from this ear. Although i am aware that the antibiotic can take about 40 hours to have any effect. My concern is that I have tried everything from advil, alleve, and Ibuprofen multiple times they worked yesterday but nothing is working at this moment. Am I doing something to provoke the pain/pulsating pain?
