Hello Dr. Rynne,
I am 89, of very low income, and have been advised to get Voltaren gel by a lady I know who is a physical therapist. It takes a prescription, and I have no reason to go a doctor to get one. Is there an alternative over-the-counter preparation? I have a mild arthritic-like pain when a left-leg tendon slides over the hip bone that sticks out (is it the greater trochanter?).
