Hello Dr. Siegel-- I Had An Anterior Approach Right Total

Hello Dr. Siegel-- I had an anterior approach right total hip replacement 20 months ago. I have mild plus pain noticed periodically when I lean slightly forward at the kitchen sink and at times when I am on my right or both knees putting wood into the fireplace insert. Now and then I can have some discomfort when walking or working outside( I'm retired). A triphasic scan has been proposed. I also had some mild pain in the anterior hip area when walking at times when 12 months postop.
Anyway, can the radioactivity be a worry and what is the reliability for the scan regarding a "loose" shaft or cup? Thanks--Milton C. Pettapiece Jr MD
