Hello. For Almost Two Years, I Have Been Dealing With

Hello. For almost two years, I have been dealing with an infected adenoid "pit" (as my ENT calls it). I am 25 years old and it has been causing me a great deal of grief. I am constantly coughing up thick pieces of mucus and feeling it drip down my throat. Lately, however, I have been coughing up blood-y mucus. A few times, it seems as though I was coughing up just blood - and then I later got a nosebleed, so I am assuming these two events are related. Can you please tell me: a) is it common for adenoids to be related to bleeding noses?, b) until I get the adenoid removed, is there anything I can do to minimize these symptoms?, c) I have also been struggling with gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea, lack of appetite. Could this be correlated with potentially ingesting mucus that is coming from the adenoid?
