Having problem regulating hypertension...53 female...family history (mother) malignant hypertension...she died of M.I. at age 52...
I originally started on 10ng lisinopril...increased to 20mg x 1 daily..then added Carvedilol (Coarag)12.5mg x 2....and now Clonidine patch 0.2mg....BP still high EVERY morning (ex: 168/120 this am...but usually running 140-170 / 100 - 110 )...then by nbed normally lower/normal....but always high again in am....being treated by family Dr...but thinking I might need to see the cardiologist...any thoughts?
I just saw that a general Surgeon has a response to my hypertension question???. Unless I'm contemplating surgery and worried about my BP...i'm not sure why a Gen surgeon is responding?....why not cardiologist or primary care Dr?
