Hello, I Am 17 Years Of Age And I Have

Hello, I am 17 years of age and i have a tendency to get strep throat, or tonsilitus about 5 times a year. I also have an enlarged tonsil ever since i can remember. It seems to have increased in size throughout the years and i curious as if that is a major issue. Could you tell me what that means, and if I should get my tonsils out or not?
