Hello I Am 54 And Have A Hematocrit Level Of

Hello I am 54 and have a hematocrit level of 51.3 and low protein level, my father died of mylogenous leukemia when he was 52 and when I was 30 i was told I had a bout of polycaethemia, 2 years ago I had a bout of skin hypersensitivity ie; burning tingling in arms and inner thighs the Rhuematologist ruled out SLE/ Rheumatoid at that time my HCT was 56.4 but for some reason the symptoms resolved, now i'm wondering why my symptoms have re-occurred could this be stress related or diet and is 51.3 HCT a significant increase to consider the possibility of PV, I worry because in 2 weeks I am going to have knee surgery and with increased RBC this could be a consideration. Thank You very much
