Hello,
I am 65 years of age. I am a non smoker and have never had any medical procedure. I have always visited my local clinic on an annual basis for regular check-ups of all types. I exercise regularly and I have always been considered to be very healthy. I have always travelled several times a year abroad.
I was diagnosed 3.5 months ago with a small blood clot in my lower left lung, due we think to a 26 hour delayed travel journey, most time of which was spent on a plane, some 10 days earlier. That day I wore boots (big mistake) and my ankles swelled. I took a total of 10mg a day of Eliquis for 3 months with no side effects or problems and after recent extensive tests, my results were all positive. Under Doctors supervision 10 days ago I reduced the dosage to 5mg daily and at the end of the 30 days I have to have one week of daily injections of Clexane, to ease- off taking any more medication. The Doctors say the problem was probably a one off and occurred due to being so many hours without moving, in a plane. Naturally I do not want to continue taking Eliquis if it is not necessary plus of course the price is very elevated.
My question is that for the past 2 days I have noticed a 'tingly' feeling in different parts of my body and I was wondering if this is normal and/or to be expected as maybe my blood is readjusting to less dosage??
I look forward to your reply.
