Hello. I am a 30 year-old female with Type 1 diabetes (since age 4). This is my first year teaching. I wake up at 5:00AM and I stay at school preparing lessons and grading until 9:30PM. In the past year I have had a scleral buckle for a detached retina and 3 vitrectomy surgeries for detached retina with PVR and retinoschesis. I now have cataract in that eye caused by the surgeries and continued use of Prednisolone. I only mention this because I'm not sure if it has anything to do with what I am experiencing. For the past 3 weeks I have been experiencing headaches from the moment I wake up until the moment I fall asleep. Occasionally I get very dizzy, but it lasts only a moment. The sensation is like that of sitting/standing too quickly, but it occurs when I am sitting or standing still. Also, I get very dizzy when laying down. The headaches are located at the top of my forehead/beginning of my hair line and occasionally my temples. There is no nausea, light-sensitivity, or noise sensitivity linked to the headaches and the intensity gets only slightly better with ibuprofen or sinus medication. I'm assuming that my headaches are related to stress, but am wondering if I should be concerned or schedule an appointment with my doctor.
