Hello, I am a 30 year old male. I have degenerative disk disease, 3 herniated disks and a compression fracture. All are in the lumbar portion of the spine. As a result I now have trouble walking and often need a cane or wheelchair. I have a aching pain where the injuries are and burning in my legs. I have trouble standing, sitting or laying for to long. How will this effect my future? Will I be able to walk? Will my pain just get worse. I have seen 3 specialists and all have said surgery is a no go due to risks and location, I have tried the shots and physical therapy which did not work. Last thing I was told was I will be on pain meds the remainder of my life and will only be able to 5% of the jobs out there.
