Hello, I am a 39 year old female and I have been diagnosed with stage three kidney disease this year. my GFR stays below 50 and my recent blood creatinin levels are 1.2-1.3. The last two weeks I have been casting protein, blood and ketones in my urine. I am a nurse and understand the implications for having kidney disease, but am very frustrated and confused about, what is the main cause of my CKD, and what can I do to prevent further damage. I am not the typical CKD patient. I do not have HTN, or DM, and my rheumatologist can't decide wether I have lupus or not? I realize that this may all be due to an autoimmune disorder therefor I am just going to go through this knowing that I have no control of the outcome. At this point it just seems that the CKD is becoming increasingly worse much faster than I expected. My ultimate question at this time is what is with the keytonuria? I have been hypoglycemic always and it seems more so recently. I do have a lot of symptoms of metabolic syndrome as well. Does CKD produce keytones? I am trying to research and am coming up with a question mark??
