Hello I Am Concerned Because I Started My Period A

Hello I am concerned because I started my period a few days early. It is very heavy. And bad cramping especially in my lower back. More than usual. I normally have a regular period, never heavy and on time. It happend a day after having half a xanax. I also have the birth control implant Nexplanon. Not sure if it relates to each other. Just wandering if I should be concerned about the amount of heavy bleeding a few days early? Thanks.
