Hello, I Am Inquiring About My 13 Year Old Son.

Hello, I am inquiring about my 13 year old son. He has mild to moderate asthma and takes a steroid twice daily along with a nose spray. He had a cold early September and it seemed to go away except for a cough here and there. In the last two weeks he doesn't seem sick but gets a coughing fit whenever his heart rate goes up and this fit turns into strong gagging and often puking. He said he seemed a little more flemmy but at this point he can't even participate in gym at school. Help! Should I get him referred to the pediatrician who saw him a couple tears ago? Is there anything that can even be done?
