Hello, I Am Married, And My Period Should've Been There

Hello,

I am married, and my period should've been there a week ago.
I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative.
I also have no other pregnancy symptoms other than mild cramping.
No nausea, cravings, fatigue, frequent urination, discharges, nothing.
I really wish i am not pregnant and i want to believe the test,, yet i am confused as to why there are mild cramps and why period is late
