Hello I Cough So Much After Eating , Plus Coughing

Hello
I cough so much after eating , plus coughing so hard I cough up white foam.
example: I start coughing then I burb and it starts all over again.
I have been taking nexium but I guess it's not working. The only other thing I can think of is I also have 2 white cats maybe that's the problem?

I tried taking magnesium pills I read that it could help the gerd situation.
