Hello, I found out I have disc bulging & disc herniation at C3-4, C4-5 & C5-6. C5-6 there is posterior disc herniation which is most notable just to the left of midline with mild inferior extrusion. The herniation extends 3.5 - 4mm posteriorly and measures 8mm in superior/inferior dimension. There are small underlying marginal osteophytes. The herniation contacts and flattens the left anterior aspect of the cervical cord. There is no abnormal cord signal. AP diameter of the canal is 7.2 mm and there is moderate central canal stenosis. There is facet arthropathy with uncovertebral spurring and there is mild to moderate right and mild left foraminal stenosis. Anterior disc herniation is also present at C6-7, there is disc bulging impressing the anterior margin of the thecal sac. My provider wanted me to come in and get an epidural steroid injection before he got the MRI results back Just got the results back. Is the injection the way to go? Thanks.
