Hello, I Found This Website While Researching A Spot On

Hello, I found this website while researching a spot on my six month old baby's chin cheek area. The spot appeared one morning about a month ago I thought it could be a bug bite or a baby pimple. I just kept an eye on it. The next day it was kind of shaped like a round red cigarette burn (but not) I applied Neosporin to it, it changed shape to a red blotch. Asked doctor at visit about he didn't seem concerned. I asked maybe a fungus like ring worm? He said maybe and could try a fungal cream, if that didn't he said to try hydrocortisone cream. The spot fades and gets dark red and fades but doesn't go away, it feels dry and slightly raised, not flat and smooth. It does get irritated from teething drool but I do try to keep area dry. The images and information I've seen online look similar to eczema. Would like to know the best treatment. This is my 3rd child and I had no skin issues with my first two. Thank you for any suggestions you can provide.
