Hello I Had A Deep Cut On My Left Foot

Hello I had a deep cut on my left foot that required 3 stitches where the ankle creases and meets the top of the foot. I am experiencing pain some burning and radiation pain below the cut at a specific point when i flex my toes up and at times the pain goes up my foot and into my leg. I'm not sure if it is a pulled muscle or if it could be a pulled tendon. Is there any way I can tell which one it could be and what I can do to heal it quickly. Thank you for your time.
