Hello! I Had A Right Parotidectomy A Year Ago This

Hello! I had a right parotidectomy a year ago this past September. Sometimes, out of the blue I will notice a large bump has formed at the top of my scar. Or sometimes it may be itchy and a rash with be present. Why is this and should I contact the Dr. who did my surgery?
