Hello: I Had A Spynchter (sp?) Removed 20 Years Ago.

Hello: I had a spynchter (sp?) removed 20 years ago. Now at age 81, that remaining spynchter (?) does not give me much warning prior to a bowel movement. When I go to town or have an important event I am constantly fearful of need to get to a restroom suddenly upon nature's call. I was wondering if I could safely take an immodium prior to an important event to give me protection from a sudden need to have a BM. If I haven't had a BM for 1 or 2 days, could I take an immodium the next morning without "Locking up" my bowels or other problem? Thank you. --Everett R. Daves 1/14/17 YYYY@YYYY .
