Hello. I Had An Incision Hernia Repair Four Weeks Ago

Hello. I had an incision hernia repair four weeks ago on my abdominal. The surgeon installed a mesh patch. The surgeon told me that I bled excessively during the surgery And because of that I formed a pretty large hematoma inside of my belly. I am very swollen and it is sore and hurts when I'm on my feet and moving around for a few hours. It is hard when you touch it and it looks like it's about the size of a grapefruit. I feel like I am pregnant with an alien baby! The surgeon told me that with time it will eventually be reabsorbed in my body. Is there any home remedy treatment I can do to speed the process of this hematoma dissolving? Will ice and or heat help.? Will elevating it help? Will massaging it help? I'm tired of being in pain and looking like I'm pregnant. I am a 58-year-old female. Help! Thank you!
