Hello, I Had Anormal Period For 5 Dayswith Amild To

Hello,
I had anormal period for 5 dayswith amild to very huge blood flow till I was 37.ThenI had a surgery for removing fibre tissues 28 months ago .After one year,my period started lasting for more than 18 days and the blood flow was very huge .
I had some tests and my blood was 7 so I recieved some treatment for my blood weakness due to the lack of iron storage in blood and then my period improved .Now it lasts for nearly ten days but still the blood flow is huge .Adoctor gave me Primolut -Nor .I want to know whether it is useful or not in my condition and what does it treat ? How long should I take it and when to reuse or stop using it ? Should I consult my doctor on regular basis even after I improve or not?
