Hello, I had carpal tunnel surgery about 6 weeks ago. 4 days ago I noticed the tip of my ring finger was red, warm to the touch with a few small bumps, went to Urgent Care and was prescribed a heavy duty antibiotic. Can an infection spread into the still healing tissue and cause problems?
