Hello. I Had Emergency Surgery For A Small Bowel Obstruction

Hello. I had emergency surgery for a small bowel obstruction this past March. No previous abdominal surgeries etc.. dr said it was probably congenital. Two weeks ago had a problem and went to emergency and had the NG tube in for 48 hours, they said an obstruction was present and after my ct scan, xrays etc.. it was resolved. I'm feeling worse from this procedure than the initial emergency surgery. Lost twenty pounds so far and on a low residue diet with no dairy as well per the gastro dr. It just doesn't make sense how I feel now and I'm thinking that the initial emergency surgery has festered up more problems and something else may be happening. Can't have colonosocopy yet because dr said my stomach is too empty for the stuff I have to drink prior to the procedure and I'm very depressed etc.. and scared. Any suggestions? Thank you kindly. I am 62 year old female with absolutely no prior medical problems.
