Hello, I Had My 3rd C-Section And Tubal Ligation In

Hello, I had my 3rd C-Section and tubal ligation in August 2014. I have gotten my period every 28 days like clockwork, its heavier and more painful than it used to be but always comes. This month it hasnt come and its over a week late. Do you think there could be something wrong? I have a doctors appt on May 5th, should I wait for my appt or try to go see the dr. sooner?
