Hello, I Had My Nose Pierced About 5 Weeks Ago

Hello, I had my nose pierced about 5 weeks ago and it seems that I have got a small bump next to my peircing, I looked it up online and it said it could lead to an infection, I have cleaned it with sea salt and hot water, but I was wondering if betnovate ointment would help soothe and heal it, if it does shall I apply it to the bump?
