Hello, I Have A Bee Allergy But I Need To

Hello, I have a bee allergy but I need to get my epipen removed from my list of perscriptions so I can join the Air Force. I was wondering if I could get an allergy shot for bees so my reaction isn't bad so I can go to basic training. I asked my doctor to remove it but he told me no, which I don't understand because my throats has never closed due to an allergic reaction. What can I do to get this allergy under control?
