Hello, I Have A Few Questions Regarding My Husband's Health

I have a few questions regarding my husband's health and the symptoms he has been having for quite some time now.
1- He has been to his family physician recently who prescribed him a z- pack about 1 to 2 weeks ago now. He took the medication as directed and finished it. His dr. Gave him a refill just in case and ended up getting that refill yesterday afternoon and immediately started it. His dr said he has asthma, and a cold but because he is a smoker, it affects him a lot worse than a non smoker. The dr also gave him an inhaler to use when needed and that is "Symbicort"
David, my husband has been experiencing symptoms such as; fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath, chest pain that spreads to his shoulders, headaches from coughing, sweating, and always has heartburn..
Is it possible that he may have a serious condition that needs to be checked immediately by going to the e.r?
