Hello, I Have A Lump On My Middle Finger Towards

Hello, I have a lump on my middle finger towards the bottom, on the side. I noticed it about 6 weeks ago. it seems to be getting slightly larger and is a little painful especially when I am using my hand to drive for instance. Should I bee seen by I doctor or wait to see if it goes away?
