Hello, I have a quick question about comprehension and general concentration. Is it normal for someone to have to re-read sentences multiple times, especially with more academic material like textbooks? I generally have to re-read material even if it is an entertaining novel to fully comprehend what I just read. When reading, I often find my mind wandering off to thinking about plans for tomorrow, if i forgot to lock my car, who i need to email about something etc.
I think of myself as an extroverted, very positive person. Anxiety and happiness are not an issue for me, so I consider myself lucky in that regard. But even with that, I still find myself having difficulty concentrating unless I am involved in some sort of athletic activity or just finished one. It's absolutely maddening when trying to finish a sound design, or music composition task, which are activities I enjoy immensely. Is it possible that this is more than just boredom? I don't really want to waste money on seeing someone if not.
